Eight games are on the card for the week, spread over four nights. ■ 000 - The Decatur Yellow Jackets will top a three-same card Tuesday night, entertaining the Bluffton Tigers here In a Northeastern Indiana conference battle. Other games Tuesday send the Monmouth Eagles, undefeated in four starts, to Willshire. 0.. and bring Union of Van Wert county to Pleasant Mills. 000 — In the lone game carded Wednesday. the Decatur Ci-mmodores will again go after their first victory of the season, meeting the Huntington Catholic Ramblers at the Yellow Jackets gym in this city. The Ramblers won the Huntington sectional tourney last spring, and recently dropped a 33-28 decision to Monmouth. ~ oOo — Another interesting game is ou tap Thursday night, with the Adams Central Greyhounds and Hartford Gorillas tangling at the Bluffton community building in an Adams Central home game. Both Decatur teams will return to action Friday- The Commodores will entertain St. Rose of Lima, 0., at the Yellow Jackets gym. and the Jackets will travel to Berne for their annual rivalry battle with the Bears. Denver Nuggets Win First Game Os Year By United P/ess The Denver Nuggets proved today that miracles still happen by lasting their first National Basketball Association victory in 16 starts -a 68 to 61 triumph over the Baltimore Bullets. The Nuggets entertained the Bullets high up in the thin air at Denver University last night but still it was an uphill fight. Denver trailed, 21 to 4, at the end of the first quarter but scored 27 points In the second period while holding Baltimore to eight. Nugget guard Dil Crocker collected 24 points to lead the/individual scoring. Youth Loses Thumb In Hunting Accident Dick Irwin. 15, of route 4, be came the first Adams county hunting accident victim today . when he loot most of his left thumb while returning to his home from hunting east of Berne Irwin, riding in a car with others of the hunting party, had the left thumb blown almost completely off when he attempted to move the gun. The gun was pointed at him, he said, and In moving it. the 1 gun discharged, severing the | thumb.
