IB ' JI Thanksgiving Rooted In Faith It had been a hard day at the office. As Jane Adams closed her desk, she remarked. "I'tn going to Stay in bed all day tomorrow.” "Why. Jane." implored the other secretary, Patricia Ann. "surely you won"t do that on fhanksgiving Sunday: ingratitude is not conducive to peaceful rest and happiness.” The next morning the Adams family were off in good time for the worship service • all hut Jane, who tossed restlessly in bed. unable to sleep: the words of Patricia haunted her In desperation, she arose and was soon mingling with the eager, expectant throng on the wicy to church. Absentmindedly Jane found a seat in the rear. Now the minister was saying. -Riess the Lord. O my soul, and forget not all his benefits." She had forgotten Ami wasn't forgetting sin? She bowed her bead. "Eather in heaven, can you ever forgive me? The multitude of my many blessings has made me forget the Giver." A happy family sat down to a bountiful Thanksgiving dinner. How true is this saying. "The fragrant flower of thanksgiving, which blooms in the heart of God's people, is the result of a tittle bud called praise, firmly affixed to the stem of Christian faith."
