Attend Methodist Day Os Evangelism Decatur Methodists Attend Conference 1.300 Indiana Methodist laymen will attend the Methodist day of evangelism at the First Methodist church. Anderson. Wednesday. Dr. Gerald H. Jones, pastor of First Methodist church of this city, Fred Husche. lay leader for the Fort Wayne district. Fred Mills. Mias Etta Mal'onee, and W. F. Decry will lie in attendance. This meeting will be one of the three conference days of evangelism that will bring together 5.000 key Indiana Methodist evangelistic leaders. The meetings will be held at First Methodist church. Bloomington, First Methodist church, Anderson, and Trinity Methodist church. Lafayette. The days of evangelism will launch an evangelistic advance In Methodist churches of Indiana under the slogan. ‘Each Ope Reach One for Christ and His Church.” Bishop Itii hard C. Raines, resident bishop of the Indiana area of the church, will preside at the day long m* etings. Heading the list of speakers will be Dr. Ralph Diffendorfer. pre i dent of the Japan international Christian university foundation. Nov. 11 —il'i’i Nearly 300,W»0 Hoosiers underwent chest X-ray examinations last year and the tests revealed 322 cases of active T-B. the Indiana Tuberculosis association announced today. The surveys were made in 71 of the state’s 92 counties by eight meddle X-ray units. In addition to the active cases, 123 cases of "questionable active” character and 102 cases suspected to be TH were found, according to Murray A. Auerbach, executive secretary of the association. Three-Year Old Boy Is Drowned In Creek Greencastle, Ind., Nov. 14. ■ (UP) Services for three-year-old David Lindy were completed today. He drowned Saturday near i Fillmore when he wandered away from home and fell into a creek. I His foster parents are Mr. and Mrs | Raymond Lisdy. | j Erie Train Escapes ■ Derailment Sunday Demolishes Auto Stalled On Track An Erie passenger train escape! , derailment early Sunday morning near Decatur in what railroad offl- 1 dais called "a miraculous thing.” A ear driven by L o Bogner, 1104 West Monroe street, was struck by an east-bound Brie diesel pa senger train at the angle road crossing west of Bobo, a I tout 1:30 o'clock. Bogner had driven th tar about 30 feet clown the track, the wheels of the car straddling one of the tracks. When a low place along the rail was reached, th- Bogner , car lost traction and stalled. A passer-by.
