Miss Janet Soldner, returned medical , missionary of South America, who gave a very interesting talk on her experiences in the missionary field. Mrs. Yager, president, presided at the short business meeting, and announced that the guild members are asked to bring their thankoffering boxes to the special service next Sunday. It waa also de cided to sponsor a cafeteria supper Saturday, December 3. The program closed with the Mizpah benediction. Delicious refreshments were later served by the hostesses, Mrs. Forrest Owens, Mrs. Glen Oswalt, Mrs. Max Ogg, Mrs. Hersel Nash, Mrs. Max Odle and Mrs. Emmlt Owens.

HISTORICAL CLUB MEETING IS HELD Mrs. Henry Adler was hostess Wednesday afternoon to members of the llistoriial dull. Mrs. Lydia Worthman presided at the meet ing. opened with the group repeutlng Hie dub collect and roll call, answered w-ith quotations. Mrs. Worth man then introduced Mrs. Mae Butler, program leader who had < harge of the current events. Mr*. Butler also gave an Interesting paper. "The Mighty Hudson." Following the program, a brief business meeting was conducted by the president. Mrs. Worthman. The next meeting will be held in three weeks at the home of Mrs. Ethel Essex. LITERATURE SECTION MEETS MONDAY NITE 'I he Literature department of the Decatur Woman's club met at 'he home of Mrs George Buckley Monday evening, with twenty members present. Mrs. Hersh, presiden. welcomed four new members into the club, Mrs. Edward Cook. Mrs. V. R. Edwards. Mrs. II W. Steiner and Mrs. Robert Bonekern per. A collection for "candles for Korea" was taken, which is a state wld.-* project of the Indiana Federation of Woman's dubs. An interesting and humorous program on the poems of James Whitcomb Riley was presented by Mrs. Brayton, who spoke on “The centennial." She was assisted by Mrs G I. Buckley, who told of the boyhood of James Whitcomb Riley, Miss Elizabeth Peterson, who read u-veral of his letters to friends ..nd relatives, and Mrs. Dore Erwin. who presented his works. Delicious refreshments were
