The uti'xpected death of the Rev Gilbert A Eddy, former pastor < i be Nuttman Avenue United Brethren Church, brings sorrow here to members of hi* church and to a host of friends that extended beyond the limits of bis congregation Rev. Eddy was a splendid character and excellent personality. While carrying the reserve attached Io a preacher of the gospel, he was at the same time friendly and warm ly received in any group He moved here several years ago and said he liked Decatur. He was active in our civic life and contributed of his talents, zeal and energy in various degress of endeavor. This newspaper extends sympathy to members of his family on his sudden passing from this material world. o o The new consolidated school district comprised of Washington township, outside of Decatur; Monroe township, not including Herne and all of Kirkland township will be permitted to establish a cumulative building fund. The state board of tax commissioner* ha* approved the levying of a 75-cent tax on each *IOO of taxable* in the three townships for this purpose. The levy will produce approximately *55.000 annually, and in a five year period will create a fund of at least *275,000, figured on current valuation*. Eventually the consolidated township* hope to construct a new school building, which will house the grades and high schools of the newly established district. Consolidation of rural schools moves forward in Indiana and more educational advantages are being placed within reach of our child) <n o o Both major political parties claim victory In the special congressional elections in New York, and California a week from today. Other cases have followed | an Infection in the teeth or tonsils or the attempt to remove such infections It ri tat lon of the rash on the face by ultraviolet light or the giving of injections of gold, it is thought., may bring on the more generalised i disease. It is thought that the more generalised condition may be related to tuberculosis. However, this has never been definitely proved j Unfortunately, there dues not seem to be any treatment which is necessarily of value in these disorders However, patients with these conditions should be under tbe< care of a skin specialist who will employ such measures as may check the course of the localised disease. Over-exposure to sunlight I and ultraviolet light should always be avoided. QUESTION* ANO ANSWER* A Reader: What would cause knots to form, the sixe of a pea or larger. In the neck?
