Local Men Preview New Oil Refinery Victor A. Braun and Lewis K Beery, of Decatur, were guests of the Ohio Oil company at a testimonial meeting yesterday at the company's new refinery in Hobinson, 111. They stated that the purpose of the meeting was to give dealers an opportunity to preview the company's recently-completed refinery. They said that construe tlon of the new plant was started in 1947 and that the plant is up to-tbe-minute in the newest develop ments of design and equipment. They were particularly impressed by the fluid catalytic cracking unit, a huge structure 180 feet high. When used in conjunction with other refining units, the "Cat" unit produces more powerful gasoline from a barrel of crude oil than was ever before thought possible. railroad industry with 600 trains lopped from schedules. Water Pressure In Chicago Lowered Chicago. Oct. 28. — (IP) — Water pressure in Chicago's mains was lowered today to conserve the coal supplies of city pumping stations. Commissioner of public works Oscar E. Hewitt said two pumping stations had coal enough to last only 15 or 16 days. Others had more, he said. The reduced pressure, he said, will mean that water will flow more slowjy from the faucets in upper floors of the city's apartment buildings. "But we hope everyone will have enough," Hewitt said. The order was issued after a riotous day in court at which Mrs. Corrine Perry of Los Angeles testified that Engel married her and that there had never been a divorce or annulment. Earlier, Mrs. Annetta Kubiak, a South Bend. Ind., divorcee, said Engel had also married her. and then taken off with 65.000 of hers, but that she obtained an annulment last March 15. That was Just 10 days before Mrs Perry said she married Engel in Ms Vegas, Nev. Mrs. Langton married Engel.

New Model Planned By Kaiser-Frazer Will Compete For Low-Priced Field Detroit, Mich., Oct. 28 — (UP)— Kaiser-Fraxer Corporation confirmed today it will build an entirely new model next spring to compete with Chevrolet, Ford and Plymouth. Movies of a hand-tooled model of the unnamed car shown at a secret meeting of dealers pictured the auto as standard else with a rounded engine cowling and tail fins. Company president Edgar F.
