Mrs. William Batt Is Killed By Train Dies Under Wheels Os Subway Train I Philadelphia. Oct 18. <IH» The coroner'* office said today j that an inquest into the death of Mr* William L. Batt. 'I luu session was held in the home economics department of the Decatur high school During the forenoon session she di*, ussed and demonstrated ''oven meals." The buffet luncheon served at ntgin to leaders and a few Invited guests served to illustra e many of the points Miss Stech was emphasising. The preparation of t°e salad for this lunch will be part of the lesson leaders will be given in the lotial clubs following this training meeting During the afternoon Miss SUch assisted leaders in their local clubs' demonstrations. She also assisted them in their study of planned meals that measure up to health standards as well as being quick and easy to serve. Lots Are Cleared For A & P Market Work started Monday on clearing the lots at the corner of First and Monroe streets for construction of the new A A P supermarket Yost Construction Co. had machinery and a crew of men readying the grouud for the construction work A large crane was used Monday to uproot a half dozen tree* on Monroe street and the work was done in less than a day. The trees were removed by the crane, leaving holes in the ground about six feet in depth. The trees were hauled away Immediately and con strudion work Is scheduled to start soon.
