Deputy Sheriff Turns Cowboy To Round Up Cottle Deputy sheriff Robert Shraluka. whose normal police duties allow him to tide placidly behind the steering wheel of his car in pursuit of any offenders, wks forced to become a "whoopin', hollerin' " cowboy Saturday night. Some cattle, belonging to Roy Price, had gotten through a fence and had migrated onto V. S highway 33. Deputy Shraluka war summoned. along with many others, and the cattle were finally returned to their normal lodging Shraluka said today that he is going to "shoot the works" in this cowboy business. He plana to take lessons from Decatur police officer ’ Dale Death, who is an < Xpert. on rolling cigarettes Shraluka intends working gradually at it. though, beginning by sitting on an old rail somewhere before he tries it from the vantage poiut of a bucking broncho. I Return Fred Helm Body For Burial The war department has notified Mr. and Mrs J J. Helm of Meli bourne, Fla., former Decatur rest i dents, that the plan*- on which their son, Lieut. Fred Helm, was serving has been located in the wilds of Burma and that all aboard will be brought back to the ' United States soon and buried in 1 national military cemetery in St. Louis. Mr The men met death when the plane crashed Jan. 25. 1944. Fred was employed in the Indiana state highway department when he enlisted in 1942. The Helms now reside at Melbourne Beach. Lutheran Meeting Held Last Evening Rev. The Rev. O. C. Busse of Preble conducted the devotions. Rev. The economists said that prices of hogs, milk, wheat, calves ami turkeys rose more than was seasonally expected. Lamb. oat.
