Harvard Introduces Electronic Brain Solves Mathematical Problems Instantly Camhrlde. Maia., Sept 13. — (UP)— Harvard University today introduced a new electronic brain, its "fastest and smartest.” The new "wizard" is known as Mark HI, and is 20 times faster than its companion, Mark 11. It can solve mathematical problems in a fraction pt a second whereas a human lielng require days, years or perhaps centuries to work out the same problem. Harvard scientists showed the new "brain” to a gathering ut scientists who opened a four-day symposium here on electronic and mechanical computing machines. Elliott Roosevelt's Wife Seeks Divorce Actress Will Seek 'Friendly' Divorce New York. Sept. 13—(UP) - Faye Emerson. 32, actress wife pt Elliott Roosevelt, said today she would seek a "friendly" divorce from the second son or the late president whom she married five years ago after a whirlwind wartime, romance. Miss Emerson, blonde star of stage and screen, confirmed rumors that she would part from the 38-year-old former air force general. The divorce will be the second for Miss Emerson and the third for Roosevelt. It would bring the divorce total of the five Roosevelt children to seven. "i am sorry to say Mr. Roosevelt and i have betn separated for some time, and I plan a divorce when I have finished my current [ picture,” she said.
