Mlaa Lavon Ruth Strickler, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs C. W. Strickler of 833 Wineheater street, became the bride of Kenneth Warren Watkins. son of Mr and Mrs. LySiruod Watkins, 5m College avenue. Anderson. The Rev. Dwight McCurdy* rend ’ the double ring ceremony before the altar banked with palms, greenery and a white bridal arch covered with huckleberry and clusters of white gladiolus blowsoms, and centered with a kneeling altar covered with imported Irish linen. The altar was flanked on either side with large beauty vasett of white gladiolus and seven branched candelabra. The pews were marked with large white sat- * in bows which held in place small • bouquets of white gladiolus and plumosus fern. The aisle was c arpeted in white Mrs. McCurdy, organist, played •'Clair de Lune' and "By the Waters of Minnetonka'' preceding the ceremony, and “Savior I.ike a Shepherd Lead Us" as the couple recited their vows Mrs M Curdy and Mrs. Kenneth Roup, pianist, played “Pagan Live Song." "Always” and “My Best to You" w.is sung by Mrs. McCurdy The traditional weddhi. marches were used and "My Task was played at the close of the service. The bride, given in marriage byher father, chose a gown of white nylon marquisette ‘over white taffeta, made with a fitted basque bodice and a high neckline with ruffles outlining the yoke A pep lum of ruffle- accented the- hipline and the long sleeves formed lily points over her hands The full gathered skirt ended in a long train. The bride's only jewelry was a single itrand of js-arls, a gift of the groom, and she carried a white fan arrangement of white asters, white gladiolus blossoms, and white pompom ihrysatithemums, tied with white satin ribbon and streamers.
