RURAL YOUTH IN SKATING PARTY The Adams County Rural Youth held their regular meeting In the form of a skating party Thursday night at Sun Set. During the evening the group was entertained by "Pop’’ Carter, a ninety-three year old Hoosier who has been skating for eightyseven years.. Throughout the performance "Pop'' made it seem apparently easy to skate on either ’ the toes or heels alone. Refreshments were served at the close of the evening. FRIENDSHIP VILLAGE CLUB HOLDS MEETING The Friendship Village Club met at the home of Mrs. Leland Ripley Wednesday afternoon. The huge, three tier cake, decorated with light blue icing and topped with a wedding bell, was surrounded by blue carnal ions and huckleberry. The bride, a graduate of Decatur high school, is society editor of the Decatur Dally Democrat She is president of the local chapter, of Psi lota XI sorority.
