Gasoline Retailers To Hear Eichhorn Von A. Eichhorn, Uniondale state senator from Wells, Adams and Blackford counties, will be the principal speaker at the regular monthly meeting ,of the Adams county gasoline retailers at Berne tonight. Robert Gay of this city, president of the group, will preside and will introduce the speaker, who will advise the members of new state laws, especially as they apply to the retail business. All Decatur gasoline filling station operators are planning to attend.

Dr. A. W. Pugh Heads District Methodists Dr. A. W. Pugh, pastor of the High street Methodist church, of Muncie, has been named superintendent of the Fort Wayne district of Methodist churches and will assume his new duties June 1, it was learned here today. Methodist churches in Adams county are part of the Fort Wayne district and are under the supervision of the new official. Dr. Pugh will succeed the Rev. A. P. Teter,, who resigned recently. Examinations Listed Under Civil Servite Examinations for readjustment allowance agent and assistant, at entrance salaries of $6,235 and $7,432, and construction engineer, at $4,479 a year, were announced by civil service officials today. Song Evangelist OHh ■ , r The Rev. W. ft. Moore is the song evangelist in the revival which is now in progress at the Church of the Nazarene, North Seventh and Marshall streets. He is the pastor of the South Side Church of the Nazarene in Fort Wayne. He will lead the congregational singing as well as sing the specials during the week-night services. The evangelist, the Rev. Clifton Deßord of Ashland, Ky., labors full time in the field of evangelism. The ministry of these men is being well received. The services begin each evening at 7:30 o’clock and will continue until May 29.
Red Men Will Meet Here This Evening Members of the Knights of Pythof the Improved Order of Red Men will meet at the hall in the Boch building at 8:30 o’clock tonight and will go in a body to the home of Fred Blosser, where a short funeral service will be conducted by officers of the lodge. Mr. Blosser was a long-time member of the Decatur lodge. Barbara Sprunger To Do Relief Work Berne, May 19 — Miss Barbara Sprunger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton H. Sprunger of Berne, has been notified by the Mennonite Central Committee’ of Akron, Pa., that she has been accepted for relief work in pirope this summer. She will join a party of over 40 young men and women representatives of the six Mennonite* colleges of this country. The party will leave this country for London, England, on June 14, by chartered plane and will return by boat the latter part of August. Most of them are expected to be assigned to duties in Holland and Germany. Miss Harriett Schwartz and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Baumgartner, also of Berne, are members of the party previously selected. Capt Schindler was the pilot of a B-24 Liberator and was shot down over the Brenner Pass in Italy, February 28, 1945.
