Attend Tri Kappa State Convention Mrs. Wendell Smith, Mrs. W. J. Bockman, Mrs. Walter Krick and Mrs. Harry Knapp left Thursday for Indianapolis to attend the annual Tri Kappa convention in that city. Mrs. Smith is the delegate from' the local active chapter and Mrs. i Krick is the delegate from the associate chapter. Mrs. Bockman and Mrs. Knapp are alternates from the two chapters. They will ■ return to Decatur Sunday. Harry Mazelin favored the group with accordian music. Doyle Lehman led the group in singing. Mrs. C. W. R. Schwartz gave some high points on the different projects that boys could enroll In 4-H club work. Refreshments were served after the business meeting to all members and leaders and gues s present. Prices To Farmers Decrease In April Lafayette, Ind., May 6 — (UP)— I Purdue university agricultural sta- ’ tisticians reported today that ■ prices received by Hoosier farmers dropped three percent in April from the March level. i The prices also were 16 per1 cent below their mark in April, i 1948, the combined university-fed-eral report said. i Biggest drops were noted in hogs, whole milk and butterfat. Hog prices from $20.20 per hundredweight in March to $18.60 in April; whole milk from $3.75 to $3.45, and butterfat from 61 cents j to 58 cents. These declines were more than usual, the farm experts said. Soybeans also dropped, in- ' stead of making their usual seasonal rise.
