BETA SIGMA PHI MEETING IS HELD On Tuesday evening, Delta Lambda chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority held its regular business and cultural meeting at the Zion Lutheran social rooms. Miss Rose 'Ellen Miller, president, presided at the business meeting, at which time announcement was made that the new pledges were to i be initiated in a formal ceremony to be held on founders day, April 30. completed today. Lobaugh confessed the Howard murder and was sentenced to be electrocuted but now is atempting to win his freedom by proving his innocence. Mrs. Howard, wife of a Baer field soldier, died 12 days after she was found unconscious. She was unable to identify the man who attacked her. Christen, a 38-yearold former Fort Wayne druggist, was handed I a photograph of Mrs. Howard and ! asked if he recognized the woman. "I never saw her before," he i said. He also denied knowing Miss Gladys Hiil. a rooming house operator. and Dodson, both of whom testified for the state that they saw Christen with Mrs. Howard the I night she was beaten.
