Anticipate Heavy Sales When Area Shoppers Utilize Twin Dollar Days Thrifty shoppers from throughout northeastern Indiana and nearby phio will flock to Decatur next Tuesday and Wednesday to take advantage of the greatest retail bargains offered in more than a decade. Sponsored by the retail division of the Decatur Chamber of Commerce, local firms are participating in the first Twin Dollar Days observance since before the war. 11. R. Ehinger, director of the Chamber's retail division, said the price-slashing event may be staged twice a year. Dollar day signs and pennants will soon adorn the entire business district. Store managers plan to set up their window displays by Monday evening. Regular store hours will be retained both days. In order to acquaint shoppers throughout the Decatur trading i zone with the outstanding bargains being offered Tuesday and Wednesday, the Decatur Daily Democrat has arranged to double its press run of today's edition. Complimentary copies of this issue are being sent to non-sub-scribers within a 15 mile radius of Decatur; by special arrangement with the Chamber of Commerce.
