Vets Must Report On 1948 Earnings Veterans taking institutional onfarm training under the G. I. bill must submit reports of their 1948 earnings to their veterans administration regional office by March 1 to continue receiving subsistence allowance, V. A. has announced. More than 5,500 Indiana veterans are taking on-farm training, the V.A. reported, failure to submit the reports before the deadline may result in suspension of subsistence pay ments until such time as the reports read V. A. The reports are Used to adjust each veteran's subsistence for the current year. National Honor To Warren B. Maddox A national honor was conferred on Warren B. Maddox, general secretary of the Lafayette Y. M. C. A., formerly of Fort Wayne, and brother of Harry Maddox of this city. Mr. Maddox was presented the Roberts-Gulick memorial award by the national physical education society of the Y. M. C. A. of North America. The national honor singled out Mr. Maddox for his distinguished service in the cause of physical education in the Y. M. C. A. Plan Pulpit Series At Zion Lutheran Special Services On Next Five Sundays The Rev. iSdgar P. Schmidt, pastor of Zion Lutheran church, West Monroe and Eleventh Sereets, announces a special pulpit series which he will deliver from the local Lutheran pulpit the next five Sundays.
