BASKETBAWL (Cont. From Page One) the season. Our pick, MONROE. —oOo—- — — Both teams inconsistent during the season, with neither one boasting a good record. Our pick, BERNE. —oOo— YELLOW JACKETS-HARTFORD - This might well be THE game of the entire tourney. Hartford edged the Yellow Jackets in an overtime battle on this same floor. Also, we can't overlook that great season record of the Gorillas. Our pick, HARTFORD. —oOo— COMMODORES-KIRKLAND—Shucks, they’re not getting a bit easier. Met twice during the season, each winning one. But Kirkland seems to have hit a slump in recent games. Here we're placing a hunch. Our pick, COMMODORES. —oOo— MONROE-BERNE—A neighborhood battle. Have a notion to leave this one a blank. (Matches us. did you say?). But we have to pick somebody. Our pick, MONROE. —oOo— s. HARTFORD-COMMODORES — Met once, with ' Hartford winning by seven points on the Hartford floor. Still awed by that great season mark. Our pick, HARTFORD. —oOo ' MONROE-HARTFORD—AH, the finals! The Gorillas downed the Bearkatz twice during the season. Resides, Confucius sav. “Stick with champ till he whipped.” Our pick, HARTFORD. —oOo— THERE THEY ARE. FANS. And if anyone hets a red cent (or a white one), on those selections, he’d better see a psychiatrist. In closing, here ar Q BASKETBAWL’S hopes for a (Treat tournament, (he highest type of sportsmanship—AND—may the BEST team win.
