OPEN HOUSE HELD AT METHODIST PARSONAGE More than three hundred friends called at the First Methodist church parsonage Sunday afternoon and evening at an "open house” to meet Dr. and Mrs. Gerald H. Jones and sons, David and Dennis. The guests were escorted through the newly decorated parsonage and were served punch and crumpets from an attractively decorated table in the dining room. Mrs. Millie Ball, former Van Wert lady, died recently at her home in Tacoma, Wash., where she lead lived for some time and where ' she was known as the "grand old I lady." Decatur Man's Auto Damaged In Accident An automobile driven by L. E. Cable, of Decatur, was damaged to the extent of SSOO early Friday when it left the pavement of state road 5 one mile north of Huntington and hit a tree, according to word received hele during the weekend. Cable told Huntington county sheriff Harry E. Divelbiss he met a northbound car whose driver failed to dim his lights, crowding the De■atur Man onto the berm. Once on the berm he said he could not get back on p the pavement and lost control. The second car failed to stop.
