The aim of the project Is to have a Christmas tree now. on which gifts of money and toys are to be placed, later to lie sent to the kindergarten at Chicko. Japan, in time to be distributed for their Christmas. Tiny Japanese lanterns have been provided for the children in which to bring thfedr gifts of money. A Japanese motif will be carried out in the decorations and a table of articles from Japan will lie on display. Persons desiring to contribute to this display are asked to tiring their articles to the church by two o'clock Saturday. During the business meeting, an nouncements were made of the rum mage sale to lie held In November. The members were reminded of .the thank offering serving at the church Sunday morning, which will feature Mrs. B. V. Allen, of Fort Wayne, as guest speaker. The next meeting will be held October 14. Living Cost At New High During August Hits High Despite Food Prices Drop Washington. Hept. 24 (CP) - .
