C--3. of the Methodist church met Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Jess Niblick on North Fifth itreet. with twenty five members and one child in attendance. The meeting was opened with the group singing "What a Friend We Have in Jesus." followed by a brief business meeting conducted by Mrs. O. G. Baughman. July 23 — (CP» — An American military government engineer and two military policemen seized in the Soviet zone west of Berlin were released today by the Russians. The engineer, R. F. Goff. Altoona. Pa . was taken prisoner Wednesday near the Soviet British zonal frontier when he attempted to pass through the Soviet corridor.
