National Guardsmen To Stricken Areas Oklahoma Disaster Plan Into Effect Oklahoma City. Okla, June 24--it’Pl—Gov. Hoy J. Turner ordered Oklahoma's disaster plan into effect today and sent national guardsmen to stricken areas after flash floods had taken at iMst eight Ilves. Four other persons were reported missing, and rescue crews sought their bodies. The flash floods rose yesterday from rain-swollen streams at Hydro. in western Oklahoma, and at Okmulgee, In the eastern part of the state. The eight dead were In the Hydro area. Five hundred persons were evacuated from Okmulgee last night as water from the Fork I river and Okmulgee Creek poured i Into the town. Police chief Kills Holly said several boats were lost in the evacuation, hut all persons were saved. Fifty national guardsmen wensent to the scene to aid in the evacuation and to guard against looting. Water measured 15 Inches in some sections of Okmulgee, where more than 14 Inches * of rain had fallen since Sunday. At Hvdro, highway patrol troop-
