Phone 742. 140 3t 4-H Pig Club Tour Is Planned June 29 Visit Four Farms In Adams County The Adams county Swine project committee will hold a 4-H pig club tour Tuesday. June 29. Erie Holm, assistant state 4-H club leader of Purdue, will be on the tour. The 4-H pig club members parents and friends are asked to meet at the home of Carl Rlubtn at 9 a.m. June 29. This farm Is two miles north of the Dent School in Root township. Carl will give a demonstration on showing pigs In the show ring. Every 4-H member will have an opportunity to show a pig. The tour will then move to Elaine Freels’ home in Kirkland township, arriving at 10:30 a.m. Elaine will demonstrate fitting a pig for the show ring. After leaving Freels’ the party will proceed to the Herne park for the lunch hour. Each tour member is asked to carry his own lunch. The first stop after lunch will he at the Tommy Wagley home in Hartford township. This home is five miles west and one mile south of Geneva. Arriving at 1:30 p.m. there will be a demonstration showing pigs. The last tour stop will be at the Brice Christy home in Jefferson township st 3 p.m. This home is I*4 miles east of the\ Jefferson high school Brice is doing a good joh of feeding and he will he asked to discuss his feeding program. The locations for 4-H club shows were dlsctixsed and It was definitely stated that the swine tent would be placed at the east end of Madlaon street. Swine will be placed in the tent Tuesday. July 27. Barrows will be weighed by Dale Liby at the 10th street stock yards Auction sales for laith swine amt beef were discussed t»ut no definite plan adopted. The group will meet Tuesday, July 4. for making final arrangements in regard to the livestock sales.
