weeklv rehe The strike had shut off 12 percent of the nut lon's beer supply. I . . 1 FINAL CHAPTER (Cont. From I age One) I passed an airport, dotted with small planes. Snider, a civilian pilot with plenty of air hours, jok ingly offered to take either the sheriff or the writer for a plane ride Only one stop was made and long before noon the trio were inmates of the state prison Reports from his doctors sent along with Snider, who has reputedly had numerous operations and is extremely unhealthy — were filed with his prison papers. They surrendered their money- for which they signed a receipt—their raaors and practically every posseealon except the clothing they wore and a handkerchief. "Checked through" the electric eye that automatically detects any metal on a person, giving an alarm, they disappeared one at a time through the maze of iron doors. Before leaving the prison, sheriff Bowirfhn kept a promise and visited 4>riefly with E. A. “Andy” Zumbrlnk. the congenial, convict ed cheek forger “sent up" from Decatur 14 months ago Incldentially. a clerk in the prison office revealed that "there Isn’t an employe of the prison who thinks bobaugh will (in the prison vernacular) 'fry'.’’ Lobaugh--Ralph Ixibaugh. the "now I'm guilty, now I'm not" alleged sex slayer of three Fork Wayne women, is awaiting execution In the electric chair at Michigan City. "We all think he's plenty screwy, hut not guilty of any of the crimes." he said.
