Mrs. Francis Willard played Cue piano prelude, followed by : the group singing "Lead On. O King Eternal." Mrs. George Hamma. pro gram chairman, read the scripture, followed by prayer. A duet was sung by Mrs. Woodruff and Mrs. Willard, after which tne lesson study on “New Ways for a New Day," was given by Mrs. Will Dellinger. The program closed with prayer by Mrs. Hamma. During the business meeting. Mrs. Curl Hammond, president, reminded members ot the bake sale to he held Saturday at Cole's market. It was also voted to have a mother-daughter banquet again this ygar on May 6.,Re<i Bird notes were given by Mre. Dick McConnell. The business meeting of the Ladles Aid society was c-ondac'ed by Mrs. Earl Fuhrman. Imvely refreshments were then served by the April section of the Ladles Aid society, with Mrs. Eugene Runyon as chairman. DELTA THETA TAU HAS SOCIAL MEETING Members of Cmicron chapter of Itelta Theta Tau sorority were guests Wednesday evening at a lovely dessert bridge at the Elks home. The tables were centered with small candles, fashioned as lambs, and each place was marked . with a clever favor Spring flowers were used to decorate the serving | rooms. A delicious demert was served by the hostesses, after which a business meeting was conducted by the president, Catherine Weld'er. Plans were made to sponsor a Girl Sc&ut troop and to assume the educational work of the Adams county cancer society. Mrs Vance Hudson was program leader for the afternoon and discussed the southwest Indians and their problems. Mrs R. E. Glendening gave an interesting talk on the Eskimos.
