MRS MILO BLACK HOSTESS TO CLUB the meeting of the Indies Shake Nineteen members attended speare club held Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Milo Black Following a brief business meeting Mrs. Robert Macklin, pvigratn leader for the afternoon, gave an Interesting paper on “Cuba-Ameri-can Sugar Bowl." Mrs. Macklin stated that this year Cuba will furnish enough sugar to this country to supply each individual with . thirty founds. The Island Is also the repository <of such valuable ores as Iron, manganese, copper, tungsten and sent many shiploads of nickel to our steel plants during tbe war. Tobafco is another Important, crop of thia large island During the social hour, the hostess served dainty refreshments. The next meeting will be held April 14 at the home of Mr*. J. W. McPheetera. KIRKLAND LADIES CLUB IN MEETING The March meeting of the Kirkland Ladles Home Economic* club was held Tuesday afternoon at the high school, with twenty eight member* in attendance The meeting was opened with an Easter parpde of hat*. Mrt Thomas Griffith was given a corsage for the n)ost comical hat. and Mrs. Oliver Dilling, the corsage for the oldest mother present. A wishing ring was awarded to Mr*. Edward Kolter. During the business meeting, con dijeted by the president, Mr*. Ralph Freels, plans were made for the Kirkland alumni banquet to be held May 8. Holl call was answered with an Easter thought.
