Revival Meetings At Bethel Brethren Berne, Feb. 29 —A series of revival meetings which will run for two weeks will open Sunday at the Bethel Brethren church east of Berne. The speaker will be the Rev. R. H. Kettell, of Leon, lowa. A special service will be held at 2 p.m. March 7, when a new piano will be dedicated. 0 UNITED STATES (Continued from Page 1) Here are the highlights of the agreement: 1. The so-called eight and onethird group program was substituted for one calling for 18 air groups because, it was said, “the limited capabilities” of the Chinese government could support only thq smaller force. 2. The procurement cost of aircraft already supplied China represented $121,000,000, but the selling price to Chiang is now set at $7,200,000. 3. Only about 18 percent of the supporting equipment promised has actually been delivered. But additional shipments soon may bring the supplies up to 60 percent of the total figure. At current prices it is estimated that material still to be sent will cost between $166,000,0’00 and $178,000,000. 4. On last Dec. 31, the U. S. , completed a training project which provided Chiang with 1,546 pilots, 365 bombardiers, 192 navigators and 3,034 technicians. It cost this government $8,750’,000. 1 0 FINLAND FEARS (Continued from fa.ge I) Start Os Drive Washington, Feb. 28—(UP) — The increased Soviet pressure on Finland was seen by American officials today as the start of a spirited communist drive for power in that country. The campaign is expected to follow the pattern established in communist coup d’etats in Czechoslovakia and other European nations now in the Soviet fold. Russia, according to diplomatic observers, probably will follow up its demand for a Finnish-Soviet friendship and military treaty with the familiar cry that Finland is being threatened by "imperialism.” Then Moscow-trained comr, unist leaders will take over the government to "protect” it. These officials shied away from a flat prediction on when the Soviets would make their decisive move. But it is expected to come well in advance of the Finnish national elections now scheduled for July. New Soviet attention toward l m »nniiniir u u l..jih.ii.m_..—
