County Extension Plans Are Mapped Executive Group Discusses Plans Gus Selking, Delmqre Wechter, Mrs. Holman Egley, W. L. Gerke and Henry Rumple, the executive committee of the Adams county extension committee, met in the county extension office, with L. E. Archbold and Anna K. Williams, Friday, to study the results of the last general extension meeting and lay plans for future work.' Two important steps were authorized by ttie general committee. (1) That all major project committees be set up and operate as suggested in the extension manual so that the entire field of work, adult and junior can be planned and carried out by one group, thus making is possible to do a more effective teaching job. (2) That the 4-H club exhibits would be shown at the time of the Decatur free street fair. The executive committee reviewed the beef project plan of work. They authorized Delmore Wechter to meet with men interested in swine to assist them in working out I a swine plan of work. W. L. Gerke and the county agent will meet with the men invited to set up a crops project committee and lay out a plan of work. This meeting will be held Monday, February 2, in the county extension office. August Selking, L- E, Archibold and Anna K. Indiana Professor Is Named Expert Bloomington, Ind., Jan. 26 —(UP) — Dr. C. G. F. Franzen, professor of secondary education at Indiana University, today was named visiting expert with the office of military government for Germany in the field of school administration. While in Germany, Franzen will work in cooperation with Harold Crabill, an I. U. graduate, who is superintendent of schools in Bre- ' men. Franzen is chairman of the Ind--1 iana committee for the north cen--1 tral association of Colleges and secondary schools. He will be given a leave of absence by the university.
