Standard Oil Reduces Tank Wagon Prices Chicago, Jan. 12 —(UP) — The Standard Oil company of Indiana today announced price reductions on tank-wagon quanitiee of gasoline, naphtha, kerosene, tractor fuels, burning and diesel fuels in eight mid-western states. The price cuts are not general, officials said. Many points in South and North Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan and Indiana will benefit, but areas such as Chicago and Minneapolis and St. Paul will not, they said. The reduction ranges from onetenth to six-tenth of a cent a gallon. The firm said it cut prices on the basis of an interstate commerce commission amendment which scaled down the freight increases of a recent order.
