State Police Head Rejects Pay Boost Indianapolis, Dec. 3 —(UP )— Col. Rossow, superintendent of Indiana state police, today said he had turned down a SSO per month pay increase pending a pay raise for his state troopers. Rossow also rejected a $lO per month raise for his men, saying it was not enough. Troopers now draw from SI,BOO to $2,100 per year, with a monthly subsistence allowance of S7O. The business session will begin at 7 o’clock and will include the election. Present officers are: Cedric Fisher, assistant chief; Joseph Mcßride, secretary and Roy Steele, treasurer. Following the business session, a turkey dinner will be served.
