Mr. Studabaker attended Lancaster township schools. He is contractor, engaged in the excavating and drainage business. Immediately following the ceremony, the members of the bridal party were entertained with a dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Stults, 237 North Fifth street. Later the couple left for a wedding trip, travelling by motor to points in the west. Upon their return, they will reside temporarily with the bride’s parents on High street until their newly purchased home at 333 North Third street, is redecorated. MRS. During the course of the evening, a quiz program was held and the prize was awarded to Mildred Busche. Bingo was played and the prizes were given to the honored guest. Following the games a delicious luncheon was served and the honored guest was presented with many lovely shower gifts. MRS. GILBERT STRICKLER HOSTESS TO HOME EC. The Decatur Home Economics club met at the home of Mrs. Gilbert Strickler. The president, Mrs. John Metzger, opened the club with the club song, creed and prayer. The roll call was answered by “A Christmas Gift 1 Would Like to Receive in an Exchange.” Mrs. Bert Haley announced the Fine Arts Festival and Silver tea given by the Adams County Federation of Women’s clubs will be held at the First Methodist church, Friday afternoon at two-thirty o’clock. Mrs, Metzger gave a report on the lessons for the coming year. The election of officers for the coming year was held and Mrs. Alva Buffenbarger was named chairman for the nominating committee. The following were elected: Mrs. John F. Metzger, president; Mrs. R. C. Hersh, vice president; Mrs. Ed Whitright, first leader, Mrs. Niland Ochsenrider, second leader; Mrs. Robert Garard and Mrs. R®y Price as alternates; Mrs. Grover Levy, secretary and treasurer, and Mrs. Herman Gillig, assistant treasurer and secretary. The door prizes were awarded to Mrs. J. M. Dawson and Mrs. Max Schafer. Refreshments were served by the hostess, assisted by Mrs. Kenneth Small, Mrs. Arthur Miller, Mrs. Robert Strickler and Mrs. George Squires. The Christmas meeting will be a pot luck dinner and members are requested to bring a twenty-five cent gift for the exchange. MEETING OF SHAKESPEARE CLUB WEDNESDAY Mrs. Phil Macklin was hostess to the members of the Shakespeare club at her home Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Earl Adams had the paper entitled “Wild Life,” which was very interesting, giving the customs and habits of the various animals and birds. During the business meeting a donation was voted to be given to the blind. At the close of the meeting the hostess passed dainty candies. The next meeting of the club will be held in two weeks at the home of Mrs. Lester Pettibone, and

Mrs. J. F. Sanmann will have the paper. 50 YEAR MEMBERS OF PYTHIAN SISTERS HONORED The fifty-year members of the Pythian sisters were honored with a party Monday evening at the K. of P. home. Corsages of tea roses tied with gold ribbon were presented the honored guests, who were Mrs. James Bain, Mrs Kanny Fristoe, Mrs. Sam Hite. Mrs. Jennie Crothers of Detroit was unable to be present. Tiiey were escorted to the dining room, where the presentation of gold service pins was held. Mrs. Rachel Burdge presented the service pin to Mrs. Bain, Mrs. Anna Handler to Mrs. Fristoe and Mrs. Brice Butler to her mother, Mrs. Sam Hite. A lovely poem was read by Mrs. Harriet. Mills, chairman of the program. during the presentation. A vocal entertainment was given by Mara Dee Striker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred D. Striker, entitled “Little Old Lady.” The Flo-Kan Sunshine girls then sang the "Anniversary Song" and "The More We Get Together ”. Talks were given by the honored guests. The formal service closed with the song “Blest be the Tide that Binds.” Refreshments of ice cream and cake ware served, carrying out the colors of gold and white and served by the officers of the Sunshine girls. The dining room was beautifully decorated in gold and white with gold candles and table center decorations of large yellow and white chrysanthemums. Bingo was played later and prizes were awarded to the various winners. The committee in charge comprised Mrs. Harriet Mills, program chairman, Mrs. Ruth Hollingsworth, Mrs. Bernice Jeffries, Miss Matilda Sellemeyer and Mrs. Vera Owens. Decorating committee, Mrs. John T. The condition of Mrs. Joseph Brennan, wife of the Decatur councilman, was reported as “fair” at the Adams county memorial hospital today. Mrs. Brennan underwent an emergency appendectomy Tuesday night at the hospital when she suffered a ruptured appendix.
