Experts here said an agreement probably would depend on what Argentina means by “prevailing wheat prices.” They point out that if she wants to include her current high price with those charged by Canada, Australia and the United States in reaching an average, it would mean paying

Argentina more than U. S. farmers are getting. Many members of congress have said they would not approve giving European nations U. S. dollars if they planned to use them to buy Argentine wheat’ at premium prices. One agriculture department official said he would take a dim view of any “deal” whereby Argentina would get more dollars than American farmers and still be able to compete on equal terms for scarce U. S. equipment. However, secretary of agriculture Clinton P. Anderson has emphasized that the U. S. farmer cannot continue to shoulder alone the big grain export load. o County Assessor Confined To Home County assessor Albert Harlow has been confined to his home the past three days, suffering from a severe cold. TWO FRIENDSHIP (Continued from Page 1) spilt In two today as it rolled out of Indiana for Ohio and Pennsylvania. Sixty-six cars pulled into Fort Wayne early this morning to take on eight more filled with condensed milk and one packed with baby food. The original train was split yesterday in Chicago with one section traveling over the New York Central route to New York. Northeastern Indiana contributed four carloads of canned milk and one carload of canned carrots. The other three cars came from Grand Rapids, Mich. One of the Michigan cars had canned baby food collected by the women’s auxiliaries of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Several hundred people—many of them children —huddled under umbrellas in a freezing rain to hear the dignitaries abroad the train tell how the food will be distributed to the hungry in Europe. Columnist Drew Pearson, originator of the train, said that 160 cars would probably roll into New York Tuesday. He said that another train would be started November 2(1 in southwestern United States to collect wheat and grain. o The blue of heaven is larger than the cloud.
