South Bend Grocery Is Robbed Os S7OO South Bend. Ind., Oct. 10 — (UP) — Northern Indiana police today searched for a bandit who last night held up cashiers Joyce Hengke and Pearl Tyson in a grocery store and fled with S7OO. Manager David Rocse said robbery was the second at the store in less than two months. i Indiana Plans New | Courses On Russia Bloomington, Ind., Oct. 10 —(UP) — Indiana university today recognized the “increasing importance of Russia" in America's future and announced new courses in Russian language, history, and culture, and series of public lectures on the Soviet government. “In view of the present tension between this country and Russia,” said dean John W. Ashton of the college of arts and sciences, ‘‘we believe it is highly important that jail people should have an opportunity to gain as full an undersanding of Russia and Russia's problems, as is possible.” c>.
