Bud Townsend Named Department Head Heads Meal Sales For Central Soya Burt A. “Bud’’ Townsend. Jr.. of this city has been promoted to manager of the soybean meal sales department of the Central Soya company, with offices in Fort Wayne. Mr. Townsend succeeds W. W. Burhop, who reslgn«>d his position to open a brokerage business in Fort Wayne. Mr. Townsend’s promotion was announced by I). W. Mc Millen, chairman of the board. The election of W. E. Huiy of Fort Wayne, as a vice president of the company, was also announced by Mr. McMillen. Mr. Townsend has been with the Central Soya company for the past nine years and was formerly employed In the Decatur office. Henry Garsson and his brother Murray were convicted by a jury last Thursday on a threecount indictment, the outgrowth of alleged payment to May of 153.000 for his pressuring the war department in behalf of the Garsson munitions empire.
