Harmon, local radio man. »I?<> declares that he saw "rays" of light rather than the "Conventional’ dis-s. while driving through Monmouth. There were two ’thin ones" and a larger one. he says. The larger one made several sweeping motions almost touching the horizon, and finally coming to a stop between the two smaller ones. for none touched the earth and there were only segments of each in the sky. He at first thought they were reflections of his auto headlights on nearby telephone wires, he declared -but after stopping his car and getting out. he saw they were much higher in fact, far up in the sky. Now Harmon has a theory two of them, in fait. But you would have to tie a second Einstein to understand what he is talking about. We recognized such words as gaseous substance in Ills first explanation and having had some little in radar, such words as high frequency. wave guides, pulse modulation, etc., in the second. But we still don't know what he is talking about. He did say that he believed he had detected something unusual on high frequency radio which might have some connection with the "phenomenon." but then we became lost again when he launched into a detailed, technical ex-
planation. So far there have only been three people in Adams county who have reported seeing the flying discs, but hundreds upon hundreds throughout the nation have declare.! they witnessed the phenomenon. There have been others in the city and county, though, who have confessed that they have scanned the sky upon numerous occasions— , "Just to see If there Is any- ( thing to these darned stories that have been going around." 0 -— 11 Reverse Salesmanship Boise.
