FRANCES MILLER HOSTESS TO GUILD The regular meeting of the girls guild of the Union Chupel Evangelical United Brethren church was held Tuesday at the home of Miss Frances Miller. Miss Marjorie' Drew, leader, gave an interesting lesson on “Ae We Build a Better America.” Miss Betty Miller conducted the brief business meeting, following which games were played and delicious refreshments were served. Those present were Marilyn Beer, Janet Brown. Elizabeth Cramer. Irene Draper. Jane Drew. Marjorie Drew, Betty Miller. Betty Sheets., Delores Sheets. Betty Waite: a, Marcella Waiters. Frieda Williamson, and Mrs. D. H. Pellelt. DISCUSSION GROUP MEETS WEDNESDAY The regular monthly meeting of the Our ljuly of Good Counsel discussion group was held at the home of Mrs. Otto Baker Wednesday evening. The meeting was opened with prayer by the president, and roll call, anawered with current events. A chapter from the Bible was read by the chairman. Mrs. George Hartls, after which she gave an interesting lesson, using as her subject. "Miracle and Prayer.” The meeting was closed with prayer. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Jamee Murphy, Jr., with Mrs. Otto Baker as chairman. GAMMA NU SORORITY IN MEETING MONDAY The Gamma Nu sorority met Monday evenning at the home of Betty Baumgartner. During the business meeting., plans were diecussed for a club house. Announcement was also made that the sorority would have a short business meeting on July 14. Following the business meeting, a social hour was enjoyed and delicious refreshments were served hy the hostess. PSI IOTA XI SORORITY HAS BUSINESS MEETING At the regular business meeting of Psi lota XI sorority, held last evening at the Elks home, .Mrs. J. F. Sr. Patrice Rites Held In Wisconsin Native Os Decatur Is Taken By Death Funeral services were held this week at the Convent chapel In Fond Du Lac, Wis . lor Hr. M. Patrice, 38. the former France* Malley of this city, who died last Friday of an embolism following an operation. Sr. Patrice had been head of the commercial department for five years at the Catholic high school at Altonna. Pa., and was working on her master's degree at Marquette university when she became ill. Surviving are her father. Joseph P. Malley, of Perrysburg, O.; a sister, Celia, also of Perrysburg; a brother. Bro. Borromeo. CSC. of Notre Dame, and another sister. Sr. Carol Marie of Defiance. O.
