Two Men Arrested After Auto Wreck One Pleads Guilty To Drunken Driving Two men were arrested by officer .lames Borders of the city police Saturday night about 8:15 o'clock when their auto was Involved in a collision at Third and Jackson streets. Joe E. Kenney. 37. of South Second street, pleaded guilty to a charge of drunk driving. He was fined |25 and costs and given a suspended 10 day jail sentence by Mayor John B. Stults In city court this morning Francis Miller. 42. Van Wert. O„ his companion, was fined fl and costs on a public intoxication charge, placed against him by prosecutor Myles F. Parrish, upon an affidavit signed by the arresting officer. Officer Borders testified during the hearing that the car. owned by Miller, collided nearly headon with another after it made a turn at the intersection. Because of the extremely slow speed of both chicles no damage resulted, he said Both men staggered and were incoherent when questioned by the officer, he testifid upon questioning by the prosecutor. Kenney also admitted that he possessed no driver's license. Tax Review Board Opens Final Week The Adams county board of review entered the last week of its annual session at the county courthouse today. The board expects to leave the office* In the courthouse and travel throughout the county viewing various Improvements and new structures reported for assessment other last minute work will be final reviewing and cloalng of assessment books and records, compiled by the various workers during the last assessing period. Price and assessor Albert Harlow, the latter serving as chairman by virtue of hie office.
