Mrs. Tom Fisher. 7:30 p. m. fraternity. LEGION AUXILIARY IN BUSINESS MEETING The American Legion auxiliary ot Adams unit 43 held its regular. business meeting Friday evening at the Legion home. Plane were made for poppy day, to be held May 24. A chicken dinner will lie served at noon to the workers, and all jun-1 lor girls are asked to assist the women of the auxiliary in the poppy sale. Twenty-five dollars was cent to Knightstown home to prv-l vide vacations for the childre't. Several members of the local unit have offered to take children into their homes for a two weeks vacation. A donation of five dollars was also made to the big heart fund at! Knightstown A report of the nominating committee was given and announcement was made that election will lie held at the regular business meeting on June 13. The next meeting will be held Friday, May 23. The attendance prize was won by Elizabeth Aurand. — GAMMA NU SORORITY ENTERTAINS MOTHERS The Gamma Nu sorority honor ed their mothers and guests at a lovely tea from two to four o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home of Betty Gray on Ninth street. The entertaining rooms throughout were decorated with spring flowers and potted plant* which were later presented to the mothers. The door prize wae won by Mrs. Theodore Eady. The mothers and guests were presented with lovely gift boxes of handkerchiefs, topped with carnations as favoiw. Games were enjoyed and prizes given to the Mesdames Schumn. Fuelling. Fryback. Gallogly, Miller and Meshberger. The lace covered table was centered with a large cake, Inscribed mother, which was flanked on either «Gde with flowers and tall blue and gold tapers. Presiding at the tea table were Marguerite Rash and Emma lx>u Ahr. The committee in charge were Betty Gray. Barbara Roop. Dorothy | Schumn, Helen Sauers and Betty Gallogly. TRINITY LADIES AID SOCIETY IN MEETING The regular meeting of the Lad les Aid society of the Trinity Evangelical United Brethren church was held recently at the church, with Mrs- Adam Kunowlch, Mrs. Gilpen and Mrs, Frank Bohnke as hostesses. Devotions were given by Mrs Herold Hitchcock. Mrs. Frank Jones and Mrs. Earl Crider. During the business meeting, conducted by Mm. Hubert Gilpen. twenty three calls were reported and the work committee turned in twenty nine dollars and twenty cents. The work committee appointed for May was Mrs. Gilpen.
