The truck In which Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Husk and their nephew, Walter Fanner. 30, were driving home to Alice, Tex., after attending a relative's funeral, struck a telephone pole. Mrs. Husk and Farmer were killed and Husk was injured. The tornado passed over the truck and struck the hill. The Carolina tornado began at Dillon, 8. C., and swept 50 miles through the farmlands, striking several sparsely settled areas. Fred Powell said he heard a noise like a train. He grabbed up his children and ran Into the yard. His four-year-old daughter, Ann. was killed, when she was struck by a part of the house whirled through the air by the twister. Four of Powell’s other nine children were hurt.
