Cleaning Os Ditches Launched In County New Equipment Is Working Overtime Overtime operations of the new dragline in cleaning ditches of the county have been begun, it was announced today by surveyor Virgil F. Howers. Two eight-hour shifts are now working daily, he said, in an effort to insure the speedtest possible cleaning of the ditches. Lights have been installed on the new equipment to permit after dark operation. The new bulldozer, purchased recently by the county, is also being used in following thedrag-line and levelling spoil banks. At present, the workers are completing the Ohler ditch iu Union township and will move soon to Kirkland township. The more urgent jolts will be done first Mr. Bowers stated. He estimated that the drag line crew faces about a two-year jolt in getting all of the county ditches in order, with the more urgent ones requiring about the first six months of that period. Mr. Howers Iso stated that repairing of the Dan Yoder ditch in Hartford township Is being done separately. o UNION CONTROL (Continued From Page One) machinery McCormicks may be (ailed before the committee. Both recently cut prices. Chairman Robert A.
