FRENCH LEADER ((Vmiinued P.mnhall give doe* not affect other aspects of the government There Is therefore no reason for our party’s ministers to break the cabinet's solidarity.” Ramadier had maintained for two days that lie would resign unless he received a unanimous vote of confidence from all assembly members Including the communists. He tempered this somewhat in the assembly this morning, stating that solidarity on the part of all ministers was necessary to keep his govi rnment in office. The vote of confidence was on Ramadler's request for 34.000.000, 000 francs (8283.400.000 t in credits to carry on French military operations against the Viet Name <• forces in Indo-China. Ramadier in a final plea for unity made a gesture of conciliation to the communists, who have insisted on making peace immediately with the Viet Names*-. He said France has asserted her strength by force of arms in Indo China and she now was willing to negotiate with any competent Viet Nam representatives. Th*- tilislenflon of the comtnun

Wil*-y predicted the < <>nfer<-ii< <• committee would accept the senate bill as "more equitable.” Michener insiste l that the house measure was "more direct." The Democratic objection lo both bills is that they "go far afield" from the portal issue and would "emasculate" the wagehour laws.
