E Bell presided over the Short business meeting in the absence of the chairman. Mrs. Milton Swearingen. A donation otf twenty five dollars w.ih voted to the Red Cross. The next general meeting will be held April 7 with the Literature department in charge of the program. RESEARCH CLUB CLOSES CLUB YEAR .Mis. Leonard Saylors was hostres to members of the Research club Monday afternoon for their closing meeting of the club year. Leaders for the afternoon were Mrs. Ward Calland and Mrs. Harry Knapp, using as their subject "Women In the Theater.” At the close of the business meeting, Mrs Saylom invited the memliert to the dining room, where delicious refreshments were served by Mrs. Knapp, president, from a beautifully appointed table, centered with a gold harp, green carnations and shamrock. Rosemary Miller, gene: al chairman of the year’s parties, presided over the meeting. Upon the arrival of the guest*, each was presented with a green hat and shamrock. They were then seated at long tables, lighted with tall tapers, and decoiated with green potted shamrock.
