Iteglnning with benediction of the i Most Blessed sacrament at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic church The one hundred and twenty members then met in the assembly room of the school where the following program wast given: address of welcome, Argie O'Shaughnessey, parish chairman of the St. Rose church; salute to the flags, church and country; group song, "On Thin Day Oh Beautiful Mother;” opening prayer, the Rev. J J. Hennes, pastor; The Rev. F. Westendorf. pastor of the St. Joseph’s Catholic church at Hessen Cassel and a former army chaplain, addressed the members, stating that "the whole nation was in need of rehabilitation In order to preserve our democracy. The spirit of aelfishness must be wiped out completely. The women of this nation can and munt influence the men to the better way of life.” Musical selections were then pre sented by the Monroeville chorus, accompanied at. the piano by Mrs. Corwin Webb, followed by the business meeting, conducted by Mrs. Cletus Geels, district president, and the reports of the five parishes in the district: Bluffton, Mrs. Floyd Sands; Decatur. Mrs Charles J. Miller; Hessen Cassel. Mrs. Emmet Gibson; Yoder. Mrs- Norbert Fredburger; Monroeville, Mis. Argie O’Shaughnessey. Mrs. Joseph Junk, deanery president, and Mrs. Charles Lose, deanery organizer of study clubs, also spoke briefly. The closing prayer was offered by Mrs. Cletus Geels. A social hour was then enjoyed, followed by the luncheon. MRS. C. E. BELL HOSTESS TO CLASS Mrs. C. K. Bell entertained members of the Phllathea class of the Baptist church Friday evening, with Mrs. Curtis Moser as the assistant hostess Twenty-eight members were present. The meeting was called to order by Mrs. Wilbur Stanley, after which the U>rd's Prayer wan repeated in unison, and (he song. "Jesus Lover of My Soul.” wax sung by the group, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Bell. Roll call was responded to by a scripture verse, and the song sketch. "Just As I Am.” was given l>y Mrs. Max Schafer. The meeting wan then turned over to the leader, Mrs. Mattel Reppert. w|m> gave a poem, entitled ’1 Would Be True” Devotions were read by Mrs. William Moser, and prayer was offered by Mrs Reppert an instrumental solo was presented by Sundra Site Reppcrt, "Beside the Still Maters.” During the social hour, contests were enjoyed and prizes were won by Mrs. Morris Butcher. Mrs. Robert Moser and Mrs. Stanley Guests present were Mabel Reppert. Sundra Sue Reppert. Bell Walters and Mrs. Morris Butcher of Poneto. 0., a former member of the Baptist church. The hostess and her assistant served delicious refreshments at small tables, laid with white linen The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Vaughn Hilyard.

Van Gundy, with eight member* presentThe meeting wa« opened with the group ainging "Joy In Service." followed by the scripture reading and the nong "Jesus Call Vs O'er the Tumult." Mr*. VanGundy led the group in prayer, and the lesson Study on "Temperance, Shackles and Service," wm giveh. Lawrence Michel addressed the group on "Tobacco and Liquor." Following the short business meeting, the meeting was closed with prayer by the Rev. VanGundy MIMIONARY SOCIETY IN MEETING RECENTLY The regular meeting of the Missionary society of the Church of God was held recently at the home of Mrs. Floyd Morrison, with Mns George Hazelwood as devotional leader. Prayer was offered by Mrs Floyd Mitchell and Mrs. Hazelwood, and the story, "Traveling the Beautiful road," was read by Mrs Guy Kgler. (hiring the business meeting, reports on the W C- T. U.
