At the noon hour, a delicious pot-luck dinner was served, after which Mm. William Needatlne, retiring president, called! the meeting to order. Mrs. Vance read the Christmas story and Mrs. Bryan gave the history of the song. "O Come All Ye Faithful.” Mm. Ilusche was In charge of the liwtallatlon of 1947 officers. Committees were also appointed for the coming year hy the new president. Mrs. Erp. Following the Christmas gift exchange, cheer sisters were revealed. Thirty-five memhem, eight children and two guests attende! the meeting. Eight new member were added to the roll call. BETHANY CIRCLE MEETS FRIDAY The Bethany circle of the Woman's guild of the Elon Evangelical and Reformed church met Friday evening at the church for a six thirty dinner and Christmas party The dinner wax served at a long table, beautifully decorated with a Christmas cake, lighted tapers and greenery. Proceeding the dinner, the girls sextet of the church, sang several Christmas selections, directed byMrs. L. A. Hothouse. Following the dinner. Mm. Wwvley Lehman told the Christmas story and Mrs. W H. Thompson sang "Angels We Have Heard on High.” A short business meeting was then conducted and the gift exchange held Hostesses were Mrs. Sol Ixird and Kenneth Eady. The Rainbow for Girls dance, scheduled for Friday. December 27, has been changed to Thursday, December 28. at eight thirty o'clock at the Masonic hall. Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Cherry of Convoy, O. entertained recently with a miscellaneous shower for Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Cherry who were married on November 30. Mrs. Cherry is a member at the nuiwes staff at the Adams county memorial hospital.
