Denies Textbook Law Is Violated • fc- M> • Violation Charged By Teachers' Group Indianapolis, Dec 19 it'l’l - \ charge that the Indiana school text hook commission violated a 1915 law In selection of text books for Hoosier school children was denied today by state superintendent of public Instruction Dr. Clement T. Malan The accusation was made by the Indiana State Teacher's Assocla tion through it- executive secretary. Robert II Wyatt In a letter to the commission. Wyatt listed what he termed discrepancies In book adoption procedure. Wyatt's letter charged that some adoptions were "ridiculous.'' He said hook* were adopted for five years in "changeable" subject* such a* electricity and aeronautics. Books in seven subject* were adc.pt. d for first grade pupils. Under a "multiple adoption " plan, the law provided for selection of three books for each subject in eaclf grade.
