Mm Bud Townsend and Miss Ruth Yost The next meeting will be u combined buelness and social meeting on -January 15 at the Elks home CHURCH MOTHERS CLUB IN MEETING TUESDAY Members of the Church Mothers Study club held their annual Christmas party Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. Niland Ochsenrlder. The meeting was opined with the group repeating the club creed, led by the president. Mrs. Clarence Rowdon. Mrs. Paul Cummings read the devotionala. after which Mrs. Merlin Correll reviewed the lesson, “How Christmas is Celebrated in Other Landa.'' Mrs. Correll also read "The Birth of Christ." "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" was then played by Mrs. George Roop as a piano solo. Following contests and games played, Santa Claus arrived and distributed the Gifts. Delicious refreshments were served during the social hour by Mrs. Ochsenrlder. Mrs. Homer Reppert. Mrs. Carl Baxter, Mrs. Roop, Mrs. Albert Powell and Mrs Ralph Habegger. The next meeting will be held January 14 at the home of Mra. David Downs. The young couple will reside in Mllw'aukee JOAN JACQUAY ENGAGED TO WED ROGER MONNIER The engagement of Miss Joan Jacquay of Fort Wayne, to Roger Monnier, son of Mrs. Joseph E. Monnler of thl* city, was announced today by the bride-elect's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Jacquay of Fort Wayne. No date has been set for the wedding. Miss Jacquay is employed at the Farnsworth Television and Radio Corp, and her fiance is an employe of the Truck Engineering Co. in Fort Wayne. He served for two years with the navy. Fifty-seven years ago today Mr and Mrs. B. Frank Bre'.ner of this city were married. The event took place at the of the brideM parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ellas Crist of Washington township.
