ART SECTION MEETS MONDAY The Art section of the Decatur Woman's club held their opening meeting in the form of a carry-in dinner last evening at the home of Mrs. A. R. Ashbaucher, with twenty five members In attendance. The tables and adjoining room were decorated with fall flowers and favors of potted plants. Mrs. R. A. A Christmas exchange will be held at the December meeting at the home of Mlns Mildred Worthman. RESEARCH CLUB „ MEETS MONDAY The Research club met Monday afternoon at the home of Mm. R. D. Myers. Mm. Charles Langston presented a very Interesting report on "Something New In Magazines." The new magazines shown were "Seventeen." "Junior Bazaar,” "Jazz Book of 1948." "The Book of 1948." “Holiday," and "Censorship in the War.” Mrs. D. B. Erwin discussed "Something New in Reporting," mentioning the stories of Mary Hayworth and Dorothy Dix as current reporters, and "Washington Tapestry." by R. Clapper as good reporting. She stated that reporting Is a true art as viewed from the standpoint of print and radio Mm. Harry Knap welcomed as new members in the club, Mm. Charles Knapp. Mm. Ivan Stuckey and Mrs. 11. Harper. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mm. John Parrish.
