Prominent among the church leader* were Harnalia* and Saul; they were the leaden* of first rank but humble men; they were men among men V. 2 "And they ministered to the Ix.rd, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said. Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them." Note the missionary call by the direction of the Holy Ghost who moved the spiritfilled church at Antioch to listen to the voice of God. A missionary church is a spiritual, a spirit-filled church. There I* something vitally wrong In the church and the individual that I* not interested in missions. V. 3. "And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away." The foreign missionary enterprise ' wan conceived in a spirit of prayer. God revealed his full purpose to! men who were so in earnest in their desire to ascertain his will that they neglected legitimate need to the point of fasting. Having done all In their power to help these first two missionaries, they ord rigid them by the laying on of hands and •ent them away following them with their prayer* No wonder theirs was success as missionaries. Vs. 4. "So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, separated unto Seleusia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.” Here I* an act attributed to the Holy Spirit which clearly Implies his personality. V. 5. "And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogue of the Jew*; and they had also John to their ministry.
