Champion Calf Is Sold Here Saturday Lehman Calf Bought By Flying Farmers The grand champion ot the bull calf division of the recent 4-H show, here, owned hy Bill la>hman, was Imiight Saturday hy .Mr. and Mrs. William (’. Burns, flying farmers of Chalmers. The Burns flew to the P. B. Lehman farm, south went of Decatur Saturday aftnr noon, and made the purchase. The purchase was made following the showing of the bull at the northeastern Indiana Guernsey show held at Huntington last Thursday. The P. B. family had several others winners at that show. P. B. won second place with a two-year-old hull and also a second with a senior hull. He also was awarded first place with a three-yearold row. which was designated as grand champion female. Other P B. Lehman winners included third place for a two-year old bull and second place In the senior yearling division. Wavelene Lehman also was awarded a second place with an entry in the senior yearling division and Roe 'Allen Lehman got a fifth place ribbon with an entry In the senior calf class. Bill la*hman had a first place winner in the junior calf class and an eighth place award with his entry in the senior <alf class. The Lehman family were also winners of second place in the produce of dam class and third in the get of sire class with their animals. The Lehmans plan to show 10 head of Guernseys at the Van Wert coun-l ty fair. Others from Adams county who! attended the Huntington show included Dale D. Moses, Stanley Arnold.
