'Decatur Fire Chief Auto Stirs Interest, It's From Illinois It looked like someone had put something over on the citizenry. A big. red colored sport sedan wa* parked along Se.ond Street j thia noon, with the words, “DECATUR FIRE CHIEF,” printed in bronze paint on the door. The thought occurred, did our fire chief get a new car without the prea* knowing about It 4 Surely a telephone call to chief Stults would bring the answer. The reporter stepped more closely to the massive, beautiful car, . It carried an Illinois license plate j and he made the deduction that It i belonged io the fire chief of Decatur, 111., our stater city across the J state line. It was rumored that the Decatur.
