Vet Awaits Plane To Dying Mother Heroine Os French Underground Dying Indianapolis, July *O—(UP)— A llyear-old U. 8. navy veteran paced impatiently in his home today. awaiting the departure of a plane to the Paris bedside of his dying mother. The youth is Louis Lauier. His mother, Mme. Jeanne Besnard, a heroine of allied underground activitias during Nazi occupation of France, Iles near death with a fatal Hlmm Incurred while the Germans tortured her in a prison camp. lauier leaves on a flying trip to Paris at 5:27 p.m. (CDT) today. He hopes to arrive late Monday for his first reunion with his mother in siz years. Physicians believe it will be hto last, for Mme. Bex nard is on her deathbed with cmcer.

Mme, Besnard, now the wife of a Paris radio executive, risked her life for months during the Nazi occupation. She established a series of apartments where she hid silled filsm for underground later smuggled to safety. In the final stages of the war. Mme.
